This school was founded in 1977 and designated as a maritime Meister high school in 2010.
Korean government supports vocational high schools that train students in specialized industrial skills in order to cut youth unemployment and bridge the gap between employers and skilled workers.

The purpose of our school is to educate and prepare talented students to become successful maritime officers who have strong work ethic and core competencies in the maritime field.
The number 1 priority at this school is to prepare students to be ready for work right after graduation. To achieve this goal, we are helping students improve their abilities as young maritime officers in many ways. Thank you.
